Green Talk: Local Designers Create "Handmade" GVI Banner

By Monique Bosch

Ellen Gang and her students at the ELLE 'n GANG Design Studio complete the final touches to their handmade creation of the Westport GVI logo. Hand-dying old garments, these talented young designers (l-r Aliza Gross, Lauren Mitchell, Emma Rhoad, Ellen Gang, Julia Kempner and Sarah Rikin) built several panels that they later sewed together to create the banner. The GVI banner will be hung at various events around Westport, including Eco-Fest on May 22nd at the Levitt Pavillion.
